Schmohz Brewery in Grand Rapids, Mich. has been serving up a hand-crafted root beer that according to the more than doubling of production, to be just right on the tastebuds.

Also tune in for details on Benton Harbor, Mich.-based The Livery’s new efforts to introduce more local foods to their menu. The brewery’s slogan, “Hand Forged Microbrews” will soon include “Hand Forged Food” as well.

The conversation features an interview with Arcadia brewmaster Josh Davies who discusses his Cereal Killer English-style barleywine.

The barrel aged beer recently was awarded a gold medal at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival in Madison, Wis.
